UN Secretary-General António Guterres said that COP24 in Katowice is the most important climate conference since the Paris Agreement was adopted in 2015. Mr Guterres called on world nations to make the agreement operational by finalizing its implementation guidelines so that countries and non-Party stakeholders can tap on its full potential in a transparent manner.
