About the initiative

LiFE is a public movement, a Jan Andolan, to mobilize individuals to become ‘pro-planet people’. The campaign launched on World Environment Day by the Prime Minister, focuses on novel approaches that can nudge climate-positive behaviour in individuals. Small actions by individuals can add up to and make a big impact on the climate crisis.

LiFE seeks to create an ecosystem that will reinforce and enable environmentally friendly behaviours to be self-sustainable. 

The campaign calls for international, national and/or local best practices that can be feasibly scaled-up

for driving behaviour change related to climate action. 

Winner will be

  • Awarded USD 25000 to test and pilot the idea 
  • Chance to present the idea at at the global LiFE conference in India 
  • Ambassador of LiFE Award at COP 27
